The Visiting Nurse Association (VNA) Hospice and Home Health of Lackawanna County will host a community flu shot clinic Friday, Dec. 6, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at VNA’s office, 301 Delaware Ave., Olyphant. The flu vaccine will be administered to any individual 18 years of age or older who wishes to receive it. For those participants who have Medicare, Aetna, Geisinger Gold, Blue Cross First Priority Health, First Priority Life or Blue Cross Traditional, there will be no out-of-pocket expense. Bookmobile in Mayfield
The Lackawanna County Library Bookmobile will be at the Mayfield Borough Municipal Building, 739 Penn Ave., Monday, Dec. 9, 11:15 a.m. to noon. Goodwill Store Opening
The site of the former Zazzera’s grocery store, 70 N. Church St. in Carbondale, will soon be the home of a Goodwill Industries of Northeastern PA store. The grand opening is scheduled for Monday, Dec. 9, with a ribbon cutting at noon. The store will offer a variety of merchandise including clothing, books, toys, music and housewares. A donation drop off area is also available to accept any of your gently used clothing and wares. The store will operate Mondays through Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, noon to 5 p.m.

Craft Fair and Bake Sale
The Gina Tomassoni School of Dance, 280 Main St. in Eynon, will hold a holiday craft fair and bake sale Saturday, Dec. 14, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 15, 1-4 p.m. at the studio. Admission is $1; students and children will be admitted free.
Interested vendors can rent a spot for one day for $25 or two spaces for one day for $40, or one space for both days at $35 or two spaces for both days at $50. Vendors are encouraged to bring their own tables, however, tables can be rented for an additional fee of $5 each. Vendor placement will be on a first-come-first-served basis.
