Art on the Trail

The Northeast Pennsylvania Rail-Trails Council will hold “Art on the Trail” Saturday, June 22, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Union Dale trailhead of the D&H rail-trail, Norton Hill Boro and Main streets, Union Dale. Admission is free.

More than 25 craft exhibitors and artists from the area will display and sell their original work in four historic buildings on or near the trail. The work includes nature photography, black and white photography, water color, oil, greeting cards, botanical art, basket weaving/caning and picture frames. There will be a raffle of donated arts and crafts.

Trail activities include a bike ride on the trail at 10 a.m., a “walk back in time” to learn about Union Dale’s history at 11 a.m., a photography class at 1 p.m. (bring a camera) and an exploration of what lives in the stream near the trail at 2 p.m. Visit for full listing of artists and events.
