After weeks of rennovation and expansion, the Pizza Hut at 400 Scranton-Carbondale Highway in Eynon has reopened with an expanded menu, new decor, new equipment and even a repaved parking lot.

"Some people may have driven by and thought we were closed for good," said owner Bob Kennedy, "but we're back in operation with a fresh new look."

Last weekend the restaurant welcomed invited guests to try out the new facility. Money raised at the event, including the wait staff's tips, was donated to the Bread Basket of Northeastern Pennsylvania and the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter.
