The Easter Bunny was out and about last weekend.

We caught up with our furry friend at the Green Ridge Health Care Center, which sponsored an Easter event for the community last weekend along with the Gardens of Green Ridge. More than 50 children attended the event along with their families. There was an Easter egg hunt, a bouncy house, Easter treats and photos with the Bunny himself.

Meanwhile, the annual Easter egg hunt in Olyphant, sponsored by Olyphant Borough and Olyphant Neighborhood Watch was held at the Monsignor Hrynuck/Wargo Sports Complex. More than 400 kids of all ages ran to gather up the 5,000 candy filled Easter eggs. The Eureka Hose Volunteer Hose Co. served hot dogs and refreshments free to all who attended.

And then there was the Eynon-Archbald Lions Club Easter egg hunt at the AC Field in Archbald. More than 200 children came out and battled the cold day. Children were given a bag of treats donated by Archbald Borough, PEI Power and Gertrude Hawks Candy. More than 130 children went home with a Gift Basket and six children were lucky winners of bicycles donated by the Club. An Easter bonnet contest (above) was also held and participants were given a special treat of chocolate rabbits donated by Fidelity Bank.
