Exhibit Opening

The Chamber Gallery, in the Greater Carbondale Chamber of Commerce Building, 27 N. Main St., Carbondale, will open a new exhibit, "The Carbondale Project - Through the Lens" with a reception Friday, Feb. 8, 6-9 p.m. Admission is free. The exhibit will showcase some of the area's photographers and their images of Carbondale, with works by Jay Best, Laura Duda, Barbara Grace, Ruthanne Jones and Steve Lantzy. Rosalie Booth Krastek, local artist and professional illustrator, will also exhibit her impressionistic acrylic paintings of the town.

Classical guitarist Jay Stevesky will perform and local delicacies from Carbondale bakeries and restaurants will be served. The Gallery is open to the public weekdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
