Food Donations

As her senior project, Carbondale Area student Gladys Sheerer organized this year's Feed-A-Friend campaign, which provides holiday meals to needy families. She placed three barrels around the high school for fellow students to bring in their donations of food products, and sent letters to local businesses asking for monetary or food donations as well.
"It's really important to give to people less fortunate than ourselves because it shows we care," she said.
