Art Exhibit

Marywood University’s art galleries will present the class of 2018 senior exhibition from April 7-29. The group exhibition presents work in the concentrated studies of art education, art therapy and studio arts concentrations in graphic design, illustration, photography and sculpture. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2-4 p.m., in the Mahady and Suraci Galleries, which are located in the Shields Center for Visual Arts on the University’s campus. The exhibition and opening reception are free and open to the public.

Purse Bingo

Lakeland Scott PTA will host purse bingo on Saturday, April 7, at the Scott Township Hose Co., 1027 Montdale Road. Doors open at 5 p.m. Games start at 6. Proceeds will benefits a broadcasting system in the Scott Campus Elementary, to allow the children to broadcast announcements. For tickets, call 570-540-5000.

Purse Bingo

The Valley View Elementary PTA will host designer purse bingo at St. Michael’s Hall, Delaware St. in Jermyn, on Saturday, April 14. Doors open at 5 p.m. and games start at 6. Tickets are $25 in advance. There will be basket raffles in addition to the purses and a 50/50 raffle. The event is BYOB and food will be available for purchase. Come out for a fun night and support field trips, programs, assemblies, parties and other events for Valley View students in kindergarten through grade five. Garden Club

The Mountain View Garden Club provides scholarships to deserving graduating seniors from both Forest City Regional who have an interest in the environment.
