Carbondale Area Elementary students and faculty raised more than $900 and filled a van full with supplies for the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter. This is the 10th year the school third-grade class spearheaded the collection effort.

The school also held a “dress down” day for all students and staff who had donated to the shelter. Pictured with the students is Warren Reed, executive director of the shelter.
