Carbondale Area High School's Spanish club hopes to support a child from Honduras and his/her family. They may attend the Hispanic Flamenco Ballet as a field trip and would like to experience different music and dances from Spain and Latin America. The club plans to try authentic Mexican dishes at a local restaurant as well as those they create themselves. The goal of the club is to expand on the culture and language that are taught in the Spanish classes. The officers were elected and are, from left: vice president Emily Scotchlas, treasurer Michael Farrell, and president Tom Mauro. Stephen White is secretary. Michelle Gercken is the advisor.
