Recently at Carbondale Area High School, children’s book author and illustrator Lindsay Barrett George was a guest speaker in Michelle Rosler and Erica Loftus’s classes. She was invited to teach students the how-tos of writing and illustrating books.

Ninth-grader Breanna Dombroski, was a student in one of the classes.

“It was really inspiring,” she said. “She taught some new techniques that we weren’t aware of to make simple drawing out of basic shapes. She gave us different tips on how to become a good writer and a successful author and illustrator. I really enjoyed her presentation. It was a wonderful experience to hear this information from someone that I knew was already successful in this field.”
