Carbondale Area’s advanced biology class went on their annual scavenger hunt in Merli Sarnoski Park. The team of Cory Boyko, Mekenzie Voglino, Brian Boyle, Anthony Calabro and Eliza Totsky won by identifying and classifying 80 different species of flora and fauna.

Students made detailed field guides and their own nets to help them locate and identify the different species of plants and animals. All animals were released back into their natural habitats. A cookout and volleyball game ended the day’s activities.
