Members of Junior Girl Scout Troop 50684 from Peckville recently earned their Bronze Award. The Bronze Award is a leadership adventure that challenges girls to fully carry out the Girl Scout Promise & Law, and is the highest honor a Girl Scout Junior can achieve.

Supervised by leader Melissa Parise and assistant leader Amy Lupia, the girls spent twenty hours designing and carrying out a plan of activities to improve the courtyard at Valley View Elementary Center in Peckville. The girls cleaned out flower beds, transplanted shrubs, planted new flowers, edged the garden beds, mulched the gardens and weeded throughout the courtyard.
