NLBC Awards Presented

The Northern Lackawanna Bowling Conference recently held its awards ceremony. The league consisted of 24 teams from Mid Valley, Lakeland, North Pocono and Holy Cross High Schools. The conference champions were the Mid Valley A team (from left): coach John Longo, Steven McCauley, Jake Scholtz, Brian Kasperowski and Mike Collins.
The bowlers named to the all conference team were, from left, first row: David Burge (Holy Cross), Mike Collins (Mid Valley), Steven McCauley (Mid Valley), Brooke Morris (North Pocono) and Natasha Bistran (Holy Cross). Back row: Brian Pasternak (Lakeland), Riley Kovaleski (Holy Cross), Jake Scholtz (Mid Valley), Paul Capoccia (Holy Cross; he was also named most valueable player), Corey Gallis (Holy Cross), Joe Mantel (North Pocono) and Brandon Crossley (Lakeland).
