After COVID-19 canceled one of St. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Catholic Church's biggest fundraisers last year, volunteers are working on a bigger, better fundraiser today and Saturday.

Items ranging from living room couches, chairs and other furniture to household goods, jewelry, purses, garden supplies, antiques, sports memorabilia and anything else you can think of, organizers said. Their biggest item? A custom-made solid glass tabletop with two marble stands with 12 chairs. The item measures 10 feet by 5 feet and weighs 500 lbs.

"People know we have the sale and call to offer donations from their yard sales, estate sales, moving or downsizing their home," fundraiser chairwoman Lauren Telep said in a release. "People come from near and far and we have a following."

Last year, the church hosted a small furniture sale in August. But this year's sale will return to Saint Cyril’s school gym. Masks are required and social distancing rules will be enforced.

The sale runs from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today and Saturday, inside and outside the gym.
