Supporting Blakely Police

On behalf of the Blakely/Peckville Crimewatch, Mayor Jeanette Acciare-Mariani, president of the organization, presented Police Chief Guy Salerno with a check from money collected for the sign campaign 'We support Blakely Police.” The organization collected $20 per sign and donated the entire amount collected to the police department. The organization also paid for the cost of the signs. The mayor thanks everyone who purchased a sign in support of our police department and the borough’s Crimewatch, for making donations from Mardi Gras and the sign campaign to support the police department. Since all signs have been sold and residents still want to buy one, the borough may have another sale in the spring. Anyone wishing to order a sign, please call Mayor Mariani at 570-383-9946.
