Valley View students compete in National Geographic Bee

Valley View Middle School recently held its annual district championship portion of the National Geographic Bee. All students in grades six, seven and eight took a written qualifying test which determined the 25 finalists who competed on stage in front of an audience of students, teachers and parents. Two finalists, and ultimately a champion, were decided.

The bee champion was eighth-grade student Paul Delicati, son of Paul and Sandy Delicati of Archbald.

The runner-up was eighth-grade student Brayden Baron, son of Bridget Baron and Justin Willis of Peckville.

Tying for third place was eighth grader Natalie Fuller and sixth graders Petar Neshkov and Jack Kondrat.

Other competitors included Roger Getts, Evan Chilek, Mason Peters, Ella Mattise, Michael Zipay, Joey Bunevicius, Mary Zabielski, Jacob Bekele, Eva Canevari, Ciara Shedd, Brady Skeen, Tommy Fiorelli, Gianni Marino, Jenna O'Malley, Aldair Martinez, Ryder Bronson, Tyler Scoblick, Aidan Kopa, Emma Frey and Emily Loomis.
